New Delhi: Four youths allegedly abducted a 21-year-old girl on the pretext of having a party at a friend’s place in Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar and gangraped her after lacing her drink with sedatives. The girl claimed that she was held at the apartment for a day, during which the men assaulted her and even made a video of the act.

The men later let the girl go after threatening her to release the video and make it viral if she dared to speak about it to someone. The girl approached the police on Monday along with her mother. Soon after, a case was registered. She told the police that a friend invited her to a party at his apartment, saying that many of the other people she knew would be attending the party.

She agreed to come when she got to know that many girls are also attending the party. On Friday, when she reached the apartment, there was no one except for her friend and three other men. The men gave her a drink laced with sedatives and took turns to rape her. The men threatened to harm her and upload the video on social media if she resisted. The men later left her and also fled the apartment.

She told her mother when the latter approached her seeing her locked away in her room. All the accused have been identified and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused. One of the accused’s father is a rickshaw-puller.
