New Delhi, Nov 27:  It’s true that people are facing inconvenience at banks and ATMs and that includes army people too. The defence people shouldn’t face such problems and in this regards this post of an army veteran is going viral on facebook. Darshan Dhillon an Army man who was standing in a queue asked another man behind him to think about the inconvenience what army people face by standing for 20 hours on the border. To this Darshan Dhillion replied that he himself was an army-man and has stood at border for twenty years.

He also insisted the man behind him to show ‘Desh-bhakti’ in supporting the army people in obtaining ‘One Rank One Pension’ and Central Pay Commission (CPC).

This is an on-going issue which has not been resolved yet and the demand of army people is: “same pension, for same rank, for same length of service, irrespective of the date of retirement.” BJP had promised to grant OROP and the army people are waiting for the promise to be fulfilled.

Implementing OROP will cost the government at least an estimated Rs. 8,300 crore and 25 lakh ex-servicemen will benefit from it. The ex-servicemen are still leading the protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi regarding OROP.

The demonetisation drive announced on November 8 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi created panic amongst citizens as their money in Rs 500 and 1000 denomination had become null and void. ATMs and Banks since then have been witnessing huge queues and people along with our Prime Minister are giving the example of our soldiers who stand at the borders for days and hours.
