Derek O’Brien has been one of the leading voices calling for suspension of the ongoing Parliament session over coronavirus scare. His requests, however, have thus far not been heeded to as the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has refused to curtail the session.
Besides the TMC MP, two more MPs, one of whom is said to be Congress’ Deepender Hooda, are reported have gone into self-isolation following today’s revelation. Deepender, according to reports, had lunch with Dushyant Singh in central hall of Parliament.
Notably, several VIPs, including Dushyant Singh’s mother, BJP leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had attended the said party. The two have since gone into self-isolation, the former Rajasthan CM announced on Twitter.
Kanika Kapoor, who returned to Mumbai from London on March 9 and arrived in Lucknow on March 11, has been placed in isolation at the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow. She maintains that at Mumbai Airport, she was screened but didn’t show any symptoms for COVID-19.
The singer says that she found out this morning that she had tested positive for the virus.
