Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), June 24: Upon returning to her native village, National Kabbadi player, Dolly SIngh was allegedly abused and attacked by local men in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh after she registered a complaint against the hooligans in the area. Dolly Singh said, “Some 10-12 boys with their faces covered started abusing me. They even hit me.” She ended up being severely injured. (READ: Teacher held for molesting schoolgirls in Delhi)
According to Singh, the attack was in retaliation to her complaint against the miscreants in the past. “They did so because I complained against them earlier,” she added. The incident occurred on June 12.
Reacting on the issue, Senior Superintendent of Police , Sharad Mathur assured of swift action in the case. “Charges have been framed. Arrests shall be made accordingly,” he said. (Image Credits-ANI)
