Islamabad/Srinagar/New Delhi, October 26: With the increasing time, more deaths are being reported in Pakistan with 52 being reported till now. Also as per the reports, no death reports either in India or Afghanistan have been claimed so far. But, if believed by the sources, more than 200 hundred were injured in Pakistan in the earthquake that hit Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan at around 2:30 pm on Monday. The Dawn news reported that ten districts in Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Kohat, Malakand, Swat and Rawalpindi have been worst affected, with many of the buildings collapsed in the area. The earthquake which hit the Himalayan mountain area — including India, Pakistan and Afghanistan — with a tremor of 7.7 magnitude on the Richter scale under the depth of Hundu Kush region in Afghanistan. Tremors were also felt in northern region of India with its effect from Srinagar to New Delhi. Quick action teams have reached the spots in Pakistan and armed forces have been inducted in the rescue actions. Pakistan has also released the helpline numbers for the emergency relief services. The Dawn also reported that just forty minutes after the major earthquake, after shocks of 4.8 magnitude were reported in the area and more are expected to continue. Based on the IMD reports, its clearly shows that this is the third such incident in last one month in Pakistan where massive earthquake had taken place. Just two days ago on October 23, a 5.6 magnitude of earthquake hit Pakistan, which in September 2013, a magnitude-7.7 quake struck Pakistan’s Balochistan province, killing around 800 people. In India too, tremors were felt in New Delhi today. As per to IMD, the last time it happened in the national capital was on October 9 with a magnitude of 3.0. 

Talking about India, though till now no casualty has been reported, but a report of one person being injured in the incident form Kashmir has been reported. Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon after the incident has asked for the assessment report and have directed the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army to take a stock into the issue. Modi also has said that India is ready to lend all possible help to the affected people in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
