The mild quake was experienced by the residents of Asansol and Durgapur in Bardhaman district of West Bengal around 10.40 AM. In Jharkhand, the tremors were felt in Giridih district, Jamtara and Dumka districts. The epicentre of the quake was Bankura in West Bengal and it occurred at a depth of 10 km, reported India Meteorological Department.
