Faizabad, June 15: Since her appointment as Faizabad District Magistrate (DM), IAS officer Kinjal Singh has been making headlines. This time, Faizabad DM Kinjal Singh turned a messiah for a poor widow who used to sell vegetables in a market. Kinjal Singh bought 1kg bitter gourd from the poor widow for Rs 1550 in order to provide her some financial help. DM Kinjal Singh was returning from a mosque after inspection when she spotted a lady called Muna who was selling bitter gourd. Muna’s attire was speaking everything about her miserable life due to her poor financial condition. Kinjal went to Muna and asked the price of the bitter gourd. In a nice gesture, Kinjal Singh bought one kilogram bitter gourd but she paid Rs 1550 to help the poor widow. Later in the night, Kinjal visited the hut of Muna and ordered to bring essential commodities including 40 kilogram rice and 50 kilogram wheat. The DM also instructed the officials to provide gas connection, a bed, 2 saris and a table fan under Ujjwal scheme. After Kinjal’s intervention, district administration has decided to give a government house and hand-pump to Muna. Kinjal Singh, an IAS officer of 2008 batch, has been receiving praise for her remarkable job in her jurisdiction. Her father was killed in an encounter.
