New Delhi: Hours before the execution, the Nirbhaya convicts had a restless night at Delhi’s Tihar jail. Their final hours were spent in isolation as all the four convicts were lodged in separate cells.
According to a report, the four men didn’t sleep nor ate in their final hours.
Till last night, the convicts were engaged in a court battle in the hope of delaying the execution yet again. They had moved the Delhi High Court with fresh pleas to which the court said that there is no foundation in plea filed by 3 death row convicts seeking stay on their execution.
At 3:30 AM when the convicts were woken up, they finally came to grips with the reality of their awaiting death.
