New Delhi: A fire broke out at Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar Market on Tuesday morning. While no injuries have been reported, reports said as many as 21 fire tenders were on the spot.

Reports said this market near Seelampur and Shahdara areas of the eastern part of Delhi is home to several clothes and fabric wholesalers.

Last week, six people, including two children, were killed and 16 others injured when a fire broke out in a residential building in Zakir Nagar area of southeast Delhi.

The firefighters rescued at least 20 people, many of who were injured from the blaze. The blaze gutted seven cars and eight motorcycles. Five fire tenders were sent to the spot, but they had trouble reaching the site because of narrow congested lanes.
