New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a massive fire broke out on Sunday in a cluster of shanties in the Rajabazar area in central Kolkata. As per updates, over 12 fire tenders have rushed to the spot to bring the blazing inferno under control. The fire fighting operation was still underway when this report was filed. However, no report of casualty or injury has been reported so far from the incident. Officials busy in the fire fighting operation told news agency PTI that there was no threat of the blaze spreading to adjacent buildings. As part of the precautionary measure, a part of the stretch has been cordoned off. The incident disrupted vehicular movements in the area and the traffic was diverted by the police.
