New Delhi: A fire broke out at a godown located at the backside of Apollo Hospital in Indore on Monday, stated news agency ANI, causing panic among patients.

The blaze erupted at around 11 PM on Monday in a locked warehouse near the hospital building that had rubber tyres stored inside. A thick smoke started emanating from inside the warehouse that eventually engulfed in the fourth and fifth floors of Apollo hospital located adjacent to it, a police official said.

Nearly 45 patients from the two floors were shifted to other wards as a precautionary measure, while three patients were admitted to other private hospitals in the city, he said. Fire brigade personnel managed to douse the flames after hectic efforts for about four hours, the official said.
