New Delhi: Okhla MLA AAP’s Amanatullah Khan tweeted a video of a fire incident on Saturday night claiming it to be another arson incident at Sonia Vihar in the northeast Delhi. However, according to reports, the fire department has confirmed that the incident had nothing to do with the violence witnessed by northeast Delhi. The video has not been deleted yet. “Now rioters have set a poor man’s house ablaze at Enclave Chohan Mohalla in Sonia Vihar. When will Delhi stop burning?” the AAP MLA had written in his tweet.

Sonia Vihar is a north-east suburb of Delhi near Wazirabad under the Karawal Nagar Assembly area.

The violence in Jaffrabad, Maujpur, Babarpur, Chand Bagh, Shiv Vihar, Bhajan Pura, Yamuna Vihar areas of northeast Delhi has claimed at least 42 lives and left over 200 injured. A large number of properties have been damaged. Frenzied mobs torched houses, shops, vehicles, a petrol pump and pelted stones at locals and police personnel.
