Muzaffarnagar: Four people died in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway on Tuesday. The incident took place after a car collided with a truck. While two others were injured in the accident which happened early in the morning near Pancheda Bypass in Nai Mandi area.
As per the news agency PTI report, the Circle Officer Rupali Rao said that the accident took place when the seven people were travelling from Aligarh to Auli in an Ertiga car which collided with the rear side truck. The deceased are identified as Ratan (45), Bhola (30), Jugal (30) and Atul (26) from Aligarh district. While two people sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The crashed vehicle has been removed from the road. The police are currently in search for the truck driver who fled from the spot after the incident leaving the vehicle behind.
