Notably, dense fog has engulfed parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on Friday, causing poor visibility on the streets.

“Dense to Very dense fog at isolated pockets over Punjab, East UP, Bihar, Sub- Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura. Dense fog at isolated pockets over Haryana & Chandigarh. Moderate fog over Delhi”, tweeted the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

It added,”Visibility (less than 500 meter): Patiala, Gorakhpur, Bhagalpur, Malda- 25 meter each. Amritsar, Baharaich, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Varanasi, Purnea, Agartala and Dibrugarh-50 meter each. Ambala, Chandigarh, Patna- 200 meter each. Delhi (Safdarjung -500 meter & Palam-1000 meter).”
