Karnataka Election Results 2018: The Karnataka Election Results 2018 will be announced today on May 15. The Karnataka results will also be announced for Gadag, Ron, Nargund, Navalgund, Kundgol assembly constituencies. The polling to 222 segments of the 224-member legislative assembly was held on May 12 as election to Bengaluru’s Raja Rajeshwari (RR) Nagar had been postponed to May 28 in the voter cards case and countermanded in Jayanagar segment due to the death of BJP contestant B.N. Vijaya Kumar on May 4 here.
A record 72.13 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Karnataka, the Election Commission said. The polling to Karnataka assemblies was held on May 12 from 7 AM till 6 PM amid tight security. Over 3 lakh personnel were deployed in the state to ensure a free and fair poll. The ruling Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former PM HD Deve Gowda’s Janata Dal Secular (JDS) are the main contenders for Karnataka polls.
