Even as the entire state prepared to say goodbye to their beloved Lord Ganesha at the closure of Ganesh Festival 2015 on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi on September 27, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also bid adieu to his eco-friendly Ganesha idol. The CM tweeted about the Ganpati Visarjan 2015, the CMO Twitter handle also shared some pictures.
Fadnavis said, “#GanpatiVisarjan at Mayor’s Bunglow in Mumbai. #GanpatiBappaMorya ..Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar ya!” He also shared pictures of pooja before the Visarjan, saying, “Ganesh Pujan at Varsha before Visarjan..#AnantChaturdashi #GanpatiBappaMorya #GanpatiVisarjan”.

The CMO said that Fadnavis had installed an eco-friendly Ganesha idol at his home, and even the immersion or visarjan was done in an artificial tank to avoid pollution.
