Ganesh idol immersions: In a breaking development amid the Ganesh idol immersions in the country, at least four persons drowned and 13 were missing after the immersion of idols. Following the culmination of the Ganesh festival in various districts of Maharashtra, Ganesh idol immersions are happening across the country and the accident happened during the immersions only. Four people were swept away by the water currents in three separate incidents in Chakan area of ​​Pune district. According to a PTI report, two people were swept away in Bhima river in Waki ​​Khurd, while another person was swept away in Shel Pimpalgaon. A man slipped and fell into a well in Birwadi in Pune rural. Two of these bodies have been recovered, while the search for the other two is on.

Similarly, three people were swept away by the river in Gadegaon area of ​​Nanded district. Police said one of them was rescued, while the search for the other two is on.

Local teams in both the districts are engaged in search and rescue operations of the missing people. These incidents point to the dangers of rivers and water bodies during monsoon.
