New Delhi: A 19-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in connection with the alleged ‘mass molestation’ of students during a cultural festival at the all-women Gargi College in Delhi last week, raising the number of people arrested in the case to 15. The Delhi Court had sent 10 accused in the case to 14-day judicial custody. Four more men were arrested eventually. A total of  11 police teams have been working on the case to identify the suspects. The episode happened on February 6 when a group of men broke into the college during their college festival ‘Reverie’ and allegedly groped, harassed and molested girl students. Also Read - Delhi Police Detains Over 3,000 Violators of COVID-19 Lockdown, Then Lets Them Off With Warning

The incident stormed up on social media platforms after some students took to Instagram to narrate their unpleasant experience and alleged that security personnel were negligent in controlling the unruly groups.

They also alleged that they were threatened by the intruders, who also made objectionable remarks and used cuss words.

The accused were reportedly outside the college when the fest was underway. They gathered at the college gate, vandalised a car and then broke in. They allegedly jumped over the barricades placed by the college security staff, outnumbered them and then misbehaved with the women students, police added.
