Ghaziabad: A Border Security Force (BSF) constable allegedly shot by another BSF jawan on Monday morning. The incident was reported at 8 AM at Bal Bharti School in Link Road. The deceased BSF constable was reportedly staying where the incident took place.
The victim constable has been identified as Jagpreet Singh. The accused has reportedly been taken into police custody. The reason behind the shooting has not been ascertained yet. More details are awaited in the incident.
The Ghaziabad incident has come a day after a BSF jawan allegedly shot himself with his service rifle in a camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. The deceased was identified as Head constable Ram Charan, officials said.
The deceased constable was posted with the 126th battalion. He was on duty when he fatally shot himself in the neck at Sunderbani BSF headquarters late Saturday evening, the officials said. The reason behind his suicide isn’t known yet.
Charan’s colleagues rushed him to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead.
