Ghaziabad, Jan 28: Four people were killed on the spot in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad after an Audi car rammed into an auto around 12:15 am on Saturday midnight. The accident happened when the car, driven at a very high speed collided with a three-wheeler (auto). The four people, who lost their lives also include a female software engineer. As per TOI report, the driver fled the scene after the accident. However, police has launched a search operation and is trying to find the identity of the driver. After investigations by police, it was found that the Audi car is registered under the name of Manish Rawat. Rawat is a Delhi based doctor and works in Safdarjung hospital.
The four those who have been killed in the deadly road accident include a software engineer named Rinky Yadav (38) who worked in HCL Company in Noida. TOI report stated that apart from Rinky, her family friends Vishal Singh (25), Yajuvender Singh (40) and auto driver Sanjiv (25) were also killed on the spot.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Indirapuram police station, Pradeep Tripathi was quoted by TOI saying, “It is still not clear whether the owner of the car was at the wheels or someone else and we have sent teams to his Sarita Vihar address but so far we have not been able to locate him. He further informed that that incident took place around 12:15 am on Saturday midnight when an over speeding Audi car rammed an auto coming from opposite direction on canal road near Gaur Green Avenue. He informed that all the four occupants of three wheelers including the driver killed on the spot. “The driver of the car fled the scene leaving car behind and we are told by an eye witness there were two people in the car at that time” Tripathi added in his statement to TOI.
