New Delhi: The Goa government has asked a school to suspend Ramakrishna Jalmi, a laboratory assistant, for his derogatory remarks against Lord Parshuram, who is mythologically believed to have created Goa from the sea. Director of Education Vandana Rao on Tuesday asked the school management to suspend him under section 11(3) of Goa School Education Act, 1984. As the school is an aided one, the Goa School Education Act and Rules 1986 are applicable to all employees.
Jalmi was arrested under sections 295 (A) and 153 (A) of the Indian Penal Code for hurting religious sentiments.
