Gujarat: 25 Killed After Truck Carrying Marriage Party Skids Off Highway, Falls Into Drain in Bhavnagar

The accident took place near Ranghola on Rajkot-Bhavnagar state highway. The truck was carrying over 60 people. Reports said most of those killed were women and children.

New Delhi, March 6: At least 25 people were killed when a truck they were travelling fell into a drain in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar early on Tuesday. The accident took place near Ranghola on Rajkot-Bhavnagar state highway. The truck was carrying over 60 people. Reports said most of those killed were women and children.

According to reports, the truck was carrying a marriage party when it met with the accident. The injured have been rushed to a local hospital.

Relief and rescue work is currently underway. Senior police officers of the region have rushed to the accident site.
