Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017: BJP Wins Bhavnagar East, West And Rural

Bhavnagar, Dec 18: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today won Bhavnagar East, Bhavnagar West, and Bhavnagar Rural assembly constituencies in Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017. Elections to Bhavnagar Rural, Bhavnagar East, and Bhavnagar West Vidhan Sabha seats in the Bhavnagar district was held on December 9 in the first phase of Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017.

Bhavnagar East assembly constituency, which was earlier held by BJP’s Vibhavariben Vijaybhai Dave, has again won the seat. He defeated Nitaben Babubhai Rathod of the Congress party. The sitting MLA Dave won 87323 votes. The Congress party candidate managed with 64881 votes.

Bhavnagar West Vidhan Sabha constituency, Jitubhai Vaghani from BJP contested the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017 against Dilipsinh A. Gohil and won the seat. Vaghani won a total of 83,701 votes against Gohil’s 56,516 votes.

The Bhavnagar Rural, which was earlier ruled by sitting MLA Parshotambhai Odhavjibhai Solanki, was again fielded on the seat against the Congress party’s Kantibhai Chauhan. Solanki won a total of 89,555 votes against Congress’ 58,562.
