Ahmedabad, October 25: The Gujarat Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Wednesday arrested two suspected ISIS terrorists from Surat. The ATS said that both the operatives were working for Islamic State (ISIS) and were planning to execute a terror plot in Ahmedabad during the Gujarat elections.

Security across Gujarat has been intensified today after the Election Commission finally announced the schedule for the Gujarat Assembly elections. In Gujarat, the voting for 182-seats will take place in two phases on December 9 and 13 while counting of votes will take place on December 18. The same day results for Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections will also be declared.

The ISIS operatives are identified as Kasim and Obaid, both residents of Surat. Kasim was planning to abscond to Jamaica after executing the blast.

The cops are also on a hunt for two more accused who are on a run.
