Rajkot, Feb 26: In a major breakthrough, Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Sunday arrested two persons for having alleged links with the Islamic State (ISIS).
As per a tweet by new agency ANI, the arrests have been made from Rajkot and Bhavnagar districts of Gujarat.

Reportedly, the two arrested terror suspects were allegedly planning a bomb blast in Chotila Chamunda Mata ji Mandir. The temple is situated in Surendranagar district, near Rajkot.
According to Joint CP of Crime Branch, IK Bhatt the arrested suspects were planning ‘lone wolf’ attacks.

Earlier on Friday, ISIS abducted Dr K Ramamurthy was rescued by India. Ramamurthy was kidnapped in Libya two years ago by Islamic State militants in surge area and was put behind bars.
“We have rescued Dr. Ramamurthy Kosanam in Libya. Dr. Kosanam has suffered a bullet injury. We are bringing him to India shortly. “With this, we have rescued all the six Indians abducted there. I appreciate the good work done by our mission there,” External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj mentioned in a series of tweets.
Last year, the ATS of Rajasthan had arrested an alleged Islamic State operative in Sikar district who was involved in collecting and transferring funds for the terror organisation from Dubai.
