The CM also took away science and technology from cabinet minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, keeping it with herself, while giving legislative and parliamentary affairs to him. Mangu Patel, who belongs to a tribal community, has been given forest and environment and tribal development. Both the portfolios were earlier held by cabinet minister Ganpat Vasava, who was recently elected as the Speaker.
MoS Purshottam Solanki was alloted animal husbandry, which was earlier held by Bachu Khabad. Khabad now has the charge of fisheries and forest and environment. Another new MoS, Jasha Barad, was given agriculture and civil aviation. Earlier, agriculture was with MoS Govind Patel and civil aviation with MoS Jayesh Radadia.
Govind Patel was given energy and petrochemicals and science and technology today. Radadia retained his old portfolio of tourism, and got water supply too, which was earlier with Govind Patel.
