New Delhi, May 17: A major fire broke out at a plastic factory in Anand district of Gujarat on Thursday, a news agency ANI reported. At least five fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The fire broke out in afternoon. A heavy cloud of smoke was seen coming out of the shop. Locals were seen helping officials in the dousing the fire. The cause of the fire is not known yet. Rescue and firefighting operations are underway. More details are awaited in a fire incident. Recently, a major fire broke out at the Space Applications Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). At least 20 fire tenders and 10 ambulances were at the spot. One personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was injured in the fire incident at the Space Applications Centre in Ahmedabad. The fire broke out in the machinery department at the Space Applications Centre due to short circuit.

After being alerted about the incident, Additional Chief Fire Officer Rajesh Bhatt and other senior AFES officials rushed to the spot. According to Bhatt, it would take a couple of hours to douse the flames completely.
