Gandhinagar, May 24: Ahead of monsoon this year, the Vijay Rupani-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Gujarat is planning to conduct 41 ‘parjanya yaganas’ on May 31 in 33 districts and eight major cities of the state to appease gods for good rains. These yaganas will also celebrate the pinnacle of the state government’ month-long drive – ‘Sujlam Suflam Jal Abhiyaan’, which was carried out to de-silt and deepen rivers, lakes, pond, canals and other water bodies to harvest more rainwater during the forthcoming monsoon season.
