New Delhi, September 16: Postmortem report of the slain seven-year-old student who was murdered in his school’s toilet has revealed that the cause of his death was “shock” and “haemorrhage”. The report further said that the child, named Pradyuman, was killed by a single-edged weapon.
Pradyuman, a class 2 student of Gurugram’s Ryan International (Bhonsdi Branch), was found murdered in his school toilet last week. He had been murdered minutes after he arrived at the school and he was found in a pool of blood with his throat slit. A school bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, was arrested for his murder. The police have said that he had confessed to the crime. However, both Pradyuman’s parents and Ashok Kumar’s kin say that he had been framed.
The police theory alleges that Ashok Kumar tried to sexually assault the boy. He allegedly killed him when the boy resisted. However, the post-mortem report said that the boy was not sexually assaulted.
There were no physical injury marks on the body. Body samples were sent for forensic analysis, which established that he was not sexually assaulted,” senior forensic expert Deepak Mathur, who conducted the autopsy, had told IANS.
Meanwhile, Gurugram deputy commissioner, Vinay Pratap Singh said he hoped that the school would reopen on Monday and the administration may take over the management. He also said that a meeting of all schools will be organised and guidelines will be issued to ensure such incidents don’t occur again.
On Friday, the Haryana government recommended a CBI probe into the murder. The decision was announced after CM Manohar Lal Khattar visited Pradyuman’s grieving parents.
