New Delhi, May 28: Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed and the top leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi have been recruiting and training boys, between the age group of 15-20, to support and aide terror activities in India, a captured Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Zaibullah revealed. Zaibullah alias Hamza, who was captured in April 2018, revealed that the boys are trained and looked after for two years by the seven-tier hierarchy at various locations in Pakistan and Pakistani territory of Azad Kashmir.

The locations where Hafiz Saeed runs the training camps for the boys include Mudrike — a major commercial city in Sheikhupura District in Punjab, forests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and hilly terrains of Muzaffarabad, Times of India reported. The training centres are Tabooq in Mansehra where the boys are trained for two months, then Daiken for five months, Ambore for two months, Aksa for two months, Khaiber for two months and Muridke. At each of the training centres, Army and ISI personnel are available, he revealed.

Zaibullah revealed that boys of his age are invited to join the militant group in Pakistan to wage war against India. “JuD leaders openly invite boys from 15-20 age group of Pakistan to join ‘jihad’ and are willing to sacrifice themselves. They write down their names, address and phone numbers,” he revealed.

At the top of the hierarchy is Hafiz Saeed himself who is also known as Amir Sahab or Amire-Masgar among the militants. Saeed is then followed by recruiters at various levels such as zonal, district, tehsil, town and sector levels. They are locally known as “masools”. He revealed that the masools pick boys in 15-20 age group from various madrassas. They are then brought to the training centres at Mudrike in Lahore. The captured LeT terrorist revealed that he was picked up by his father, who is serving as a masool in Multan.

At the centres, the boys were trained to carry out attacks, carry 25 kilograms of load, managing ration (Karachi Food Centre in Muzaffarabad) before being sent to Makhda to learn how to move in snow-clad areas. “In January 2017, Lakhvi visited the terrorist training camp at Daiken,” he told National Investigation Agency (NIA). He added that to motivate them against India, Lakhvi even gave them hugs.

Pakistan not just nurtures terrorists in its land but also smuggles arms, grenades across the Line of Control (LoC), he revealed. “We can take weapons including pistols, AK 47s, grenade launchers and other arms. At two separate occasions, Hafeez Saeed and Zakir Oman Naqvi gave us an motivating talk. We were also given 2 months training in the snow,” LeT terrorist Zaibullah, under NIA interrogation, said. Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) also runs an underground training camp in Muzaffarabad forest area in PoK “exclusively for the training the suicide squads”.
