Ahmedabad, Jan 22: Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Patidar leader Hardik Patel on Monday said that only a tea seller can suggest that unemployed youth should sell “pakodas”. In a tweet, Patel said the suggestion could only come from tea seller, not an economist. In an interview with Zee  News, PM Modi had said that a person  selling pakodas outside an office and earning Rs 200 is also a kind of employment. This is not the first time when the Opposition has used the term chaiwala to take a dig at PM Modi. In 2014, former Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar had said that if some ‘chaiwala’ is willing to sell tea, we shall arrange a stall for him. The BJP used Aiyar’s remark to highlight Congress’s elitist mentality during 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The comment cost the grand old party dearly in 2014 Lok Sabha elections in which Congress just won 44 seats.
