New Delhi: Police has arrested two people and detained two including a minor for falsely implicating a professor of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in a rape case. The incident took place in Hisar district of Haryana.
According to the Times of India report, four days after the arrest of professor police found that he was falsely framed in the case. A 16-year-old Dalit girl, who used to work as a helper in his home, has filed a complaint against the professor. In this case, minor’s younger brother, their mother, co-accused Jaideep, Deepak and another student’s wife is also involved. The girl, her younger brother is detained and their mother was arrested on Saturday along with the co-accused Jaideep. The other two are yet to be arrested.
During the investigation, police came to know that minor and her family wanted to extort money from the accused, so they filed a false case against him. Reportedly, Hisar DSP Amarjeet Singh said that professor’s wife complaint had filed a case against them.
In her complaint, the professor’s wife said that accused Deepak had sent the minor girl to their home to work as a helper. Deepak had called her to settle the rape case and demanded Rs 25 lakh. After which Jaideep made her talk to minor’s girl mother who then demanded Rs 10 lakh. The professor’s wife immediately informed the police about the offer. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused.
