Yamunanagar, Jan 20: A class 12 student shot down Principal of Vivekananda School in Yamunanagar in Haryana on Saturday, January 20, news agency ANI reported. SP Rajesh Kalia said that the accused has been arrested. The motive behind the crime has not been known yet. The incident took place between 11:30 AM and 12 Noon, according to the police. The accused student fired four shots at principal Ritu Chhabra during the PTM. The student, a report said, was upset after being scolded and used his father’s licenced to gun down the school principal. The principal, Ritu Chhabra, was immediately taken to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The boy was caught by the locals and handed over to the police. In July 2017, a tuition teacher was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Delhi’s Dwarka area. “They fired at him and he sustained gunshot injuries on the face, abdomen and chest. He entered a shop looking for cover but they followed him. The accused fled after he collapsed, leaving a profusely bleeding Vikas behind,” a witness was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
