New Delhi, Jan 15: Kurukshetra police on Sunday detained six people from Jhansa village in connection with the rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl, whose mutilated body was found near Budhakheda village in Haryana‘s Jind district. However, the prime accused, a Class 12 student, is still on the run.
Kurukshetra superintendent of police Abhishek Garg confirmed that the police detained some people who were suspected of their involvement. They are carrying out raids to arrested the main accused who is at large as of now.
The main accused is a Class 12 student, whose name is withheld as he is a minor. The main accused lives near the house of the victim. Police are trying to verify his age first, before disclosing his name.
The girl’s body as badly mutilated as foreign object was inserted into her private parts. Her liver was found to be ruptured and her lungs badly damaged. Doctors said that a blunt object was inserted into her organs. The accused allegedly sat on her chest, causing damage to her lungs.
Meanwhile, the doctor who conducted the autopsy said that the girl was drowned and murdered first. Her body was mutilated after she had died. The doctor said that she might have been killed after the assailants failed to sexually assault. More than one person were involved in the heinous crime.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased blamed the administration for her death. They alleged that the police took three days to find their daughter– she would have been alive had police acted swiftly.
