2. Messages were doing the rounds that this was a move to encourage home stay. This message is fake.

3. In 2015, the Department of Telecom(DoT) had asked internet service providers to take down a total of 857 websites in a bid to control cybercrime. The order was upheld by the Uttarakhand High Court later. The aim was to stop child porn.

4. Many sites were available on many telecom operator platforms during the ban.

There is no official confirmation of whether the ban has been revoked. But the messages doing the rounds on social media are fake.

What’s confirmed is Pornhub has now made its subscription free for everyone across the world, in an attempt to encourage people to stay home and help flatten the curve. The site will be giving free access to their membership service, Pornhub Premium, worldwide for 30 days with the offer open until April 23, the company announced on Tuesday.
