Hathras 'black magic' HORROR: Class 2 student 'sacrificed' to 'bring fame to...

In a tragic and disturbing incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras, a nine-year-old boy studying at a private school and residing in its hostel was allegedly killed as part of a black magic ritual. According to the police, the ritual was aimed at “bringing fame to the school” and resolving issues faced by the family of the school director. The boy’s death came to light on September 23 when Hathras police discovered his body in the school director’s car in the Sadabad area, about 35 km from Agra. Following an investigation, the police arrested five individuals on Thursday, including the school director, the director’s father, and three teachers, in connection with the boy’s death.

Hathras SP Nipun Agarwal, Hathras Superintendent of Police, confirmed the arrest and said, “The child was strangled with the intent to bring prosperity to the school and secure its future.” The reports claimed that the accused strangled the child to death on September 22.

The police further added that the school director Dinesh Baghel, his father Jashodhan Singh, and three teachers — Laxman Singh, Veerpal Singh, and Ramprakash Solanki — were involved in the murder. “The boy was sacrificed as part of a ritual for the school’s supposed success and glory. We are investigating if any other individuals were involved in the murder.”

Black magic and tantrik rituals

Police investigation revealed that Baghel’s father believed in black magic and tantrik rituals, and together with his son and the three teachers, they believed that sacrificing a child would bring them success and fame.

According to reports, the accused, led by the director’s father, who believed in black magic and tantric rituals, initially planned the child’s sacrifice on September 6. However, their attempt failed when the boy sensed something was wrong, and despite efforts to strangle him, he survived. Medical reports later confirmed signs of strangulation.

Undeterred, the group tried again on September 22, planning to sacrifice the boy near a tube well at the hostel. When the child regained consciousness en route, the panicked group strangled him to death.

D L Public School has around 600 students, and the hostel where the boy was killed houses kids from Classes 1 to 5. The deceased student was the son of Krishan Kushwaha, a software engineer at a private firm in Delhi.

The attempted cover-up

On Monday morning, a staff member and students discovered the nine-year-old boy unresponsive in his bed. Instead of alerting authorities, Dinesh Baghel, the school director, attempted to conceal the crime. He took the boy’s body in his car, driving around for several hours to places like Agra and Aligarh, according to a report in TOI. The boy’s family, from Tursen, Hathras, was misled and told their son was “unwell.” However, when they arrived at the school, they couldn’t locate him.

Realizing something was wrong, the boy’s family, led by a relative named Kushwaha, informed the police. A manhunt was launched, and after several hours, officers found the boy’s body inside Baghel’s vehicle with visible injury marks on his neck. A senior police officer confirmed, “The child’s body was discovered in the director’s car after the family raised the alarm. An autopsy revealed that the child had been strangled on Sunday night.”

Police have registered a murder case under BNS section 103(1) against Baghel, his father, and three teachers, who are believed to have participated in the killing.
