Here’s what Subramanian Swamy has to say about Narendra Modi’s interview with Arnab Goswami

Since the interview took place, media has been waiting for Subramanian Swamy's direct response over Prime Minister's statement, but Rajya Sabha MP is sending veiled messages through his tweets.

New Delhi, July 3: The most interesting part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interview with Times Now editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami was when he rebuked Subramanian Swamy for his attacks on Raghuram Rajan, and other government officials calling them “inappropriate”. Since that day, media has been waiting for Subramanian Swamy’s direct response over Prime Minister’s statement, but the Rajya Sabha MP is sending veiled messages through his tweets.

In his latest tweet, Subramanian Swamy mentioned Narendra Modi’s interview with Arnab Goswami as well as laughed at media houses that according to him misread and twisted his earlier tweet to provoke him. “MSM has misread me. They had expected me to attack Namo (Narendra Modi) after the Times Now interview. Got it wrong. Then they twisted my tweets. Wrong again!,” Swamy tweeted. (MSM in Swamy-speak is short for ‘mainstream media’)

However Swamy did not clarify that which one of his tweets was twisted by media, but it could be his recent tweet in which he said publicity “relentlessly seeks” him. “New problem: when publicity relentlessly seeks a politician. 30 OVs outside the house, 200 missed calls from channels and paparazzis”Swamy had tweeted on June 29. The above tweet was seen as a reference to Narendra Modi Modi specifically saying that “fondness for publicity is never going to do any good to the nation”. However Swamy claimed that media misread his tweet.

“Whether it is in my party or not, still I think such things are inappropriate. This fondness for publicity is never going to do any good to the nation. People should conduct themselves with utmost responsibility. If anybody considers himself above the system, it is wrong,” the Prime Minister told Times Now.
