New Delhi: A total of eight people have been killed out of which six of them were children after a school bus fell into a gorge in Sangrah area of Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. At least 11 persons have been injured and shifted to a district hospital.
Last year on December 26, two people died and over 25 got injured after an HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) bus travelling from Nalagarh to Jainagar fell in a gorge in Jamli area in Bilaspur district.
In another incident on November 5, one person was on Monday killed in a bus accident near Namhol in Bilaspur district. 18 people who had sustained injuries were shifted to a hospital in Bilaspur.
In a similar incident on September 3, three people died while 44 got injured after an HRTC bus fell into a gorge near Chintpurni. The incident took place when a bus with 47 people onboard travelling from Chintpurni to Hoshiarpur, fell into the gorge after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
