New Delhi, November 05: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday intensified his attack on Opposition while addressing an election rally in Palampur district of Himachal Pradesh. Taking potshots at the Congress party, PM Modi said that the only identity of Opposition is corruption. Showering praise on former CM and BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal, PM Modi said,”Dhumal Ji’s contribution towards promoting tourism in the state is well known. He understands that the state can only progress if tourism is promoted well and he has done everything to ensure this.” (Also Read: PM Modi Hits Out at Congress in Una Over Corruption, Says it Has Run-away From Battlefield)

He also assured people that if voter to power on December 18, BJP will fulfill the aspirations of poor and neo-middle class. “These elections are not about who will form the government or who will become the CM, but are about transforming lives of people in hill state,” PM said further.

Earlier in the day, while addressing a rally in Una district of Himachal, Modi had said that the contest in the hill state is one-sided. Attacking the Congress, he said the party has run-away from the battlefield.

The PM had said that the kind of enthusiasm which the people in Himachal Pradesh are showing for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is unprecedented. “Have never seen such enthusiasm for BJP that I am witnessing this time in Himachal Pradesh,” he was quoted as saying.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will be addressing a rally in Kullu. Polling for the 68-member Himachal Assembly will take place on November 9 while counting of votes is scheduled for December 18.
