Himachal Pradesh: Seven Houses Gutted, 16 Families Affected After Fire Broke Out in Koti Village of Shimla; Fire Under Control

The fire has been controlled and no casualties or injuries have been reported, stated news agency ANI.

Shimla: A fire broke out in Koti village of Shimla district at about 2.45 AM on Wednesday. As many as seven houses were gutted and 16 families affected in the fire accident. The fire has been controlled and no casualties or injuries have been reported, stated news agency ANI.

Elsewhere, a fire broke out on the fifth floor of Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan at CGO Complex in Delhi the same morning. As many as 24 fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

In a similar incident on February 25, at least 10 houses were gutted in a fire in Jindi village of  Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district. Due to the lack of road connectivity, fire tenders could not reach the spot. Therefore, the villagers tried to douse the fire themselves. Three cows were killed in the incident.
