Shimla: Two persons were killed and one injured when a truck fell down a bridge at Gambarpull Nallah in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, reported news agency ANI. More details in the incident are awaited.
On November 25, this year, nine people died in a bus accident in Sirmaur district when the driver lost control and drove into the railing of the Jalal Bridge. The bus fell into a river from a height of 40 feet. Sources said that the bus was on its way from Nahan from Renuka.
In a similar incident on November, a bus fell into a gorge near Kyari in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district injuring 21 people. The accident took place in the Kandaghat police station area on the Junga-Sadhupul road when the bus was returning to Delhi from a trip to Shimla and nearby tourist places, police said.
Of the injured, 15, including the driver and the conductor, received treatment at a community health centre in Junga, whereas six people, whose condition was stated as critical, were referred to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) in Shimla, police added.
On November 5, in yet another bus accident, one person was killed near Namhol in Bilaspur district. Further, 18 were people who had sustained injuries were shifted to a hospital in Bilaspur.
