New Delhi: Holi celebrations in a village in Uttar Pradesh went sour as at least 17 people got injured on Tuesday after two groups erupted into violent clashes over dancing during a Holi festival near Agra. Gunshots were heard from Nagla Naya village where the incident took place and seven people suffered severe injuries in the firing. Meanwhile, 10 others were injured after being thrashed by brickbats. Police officials reached the spot urgently and brought the situation under control. Additional forces have been deployed in the village and the necessary precautions were being taken.
Besides, over 600 challans were issued on Tuesday on cases of drunken driving in the national capital.
