How Pakistani media covered Kulbhushan Jadhav; Watch his confession video

According to Geo TV, Jadhav was arrested on march 3, 2016 and his cover name was Hussein Mubarak Patel. "He was arrested from Mashkel, Balochistan, for his involvement in espionage and sabotage actives on Pakistan's soil," reported Geo.

Islamabad, April 10:  Kulbhushan Jadhav, former Indian Navy officer has been awarded death sentence by Pakistan on Monday. Pakistan has claimed that he is a RAW agent and it did not send a prior notification to the Indian government before sentencing him to death. Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR-media wing of Pakistan Armed Forces) today, said, “Indian RAW agent has been given death sentence through Field General Court-martial (FGCM )by Pakistan Army for espionage and sabotage activities against Pakistan.” The political guns across the country are urging the PMO to take up this matter. The BJP has said that the move exposes the true face of Pakistan and it apparently does not want friendly relations with India.

What has the Pakistani Media reported about Jadhav:

The dawn reports that the Indian spy was tried through FGCM (Field General Court Martial) under the Pakistan Army Act and was given death sentence and Qamar Javed Bajwa, COAS (Chief of Army Staff) confirmed this.  The Dawn further penned down that Jadhav was tried under section 59 of the PAA and Sections 3 of the official Secret Act of 1923.  As per the online news forum, Jadhav confessed that RAW had asked him to carry out espionage and sabotage activities.

Meanwhile, Islamabad issued a statement saying that with the arrest of Jadhav it is clear that India continuously makes effort to disrupt peace in Pakistan.

Geo News released a 6-minute long video of Jadhav in which he has reportedly confessed his activities. In the video, Jadhav can be heard saying that he still is employed with the Indian Navy and was picked by RAW in late 2013 and has been working for it to disrupt peace in Pakistan.

Who is Jadhav:

Kulbhushan Jadhav was born on 16 April 1970 in India to Sudhir and Avanti Jadhav and is a resident of Sangli, Maharashtra. In 1987, he joined the National Defence Academy (NDA) and was commissioned in the engineering branch of the Indian Navy in 1991. As per reports, Jadhav took a premature retirement.
