New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday broke into a rendition of the iconic song ‘Hum Honge Kamyab‘ (we shall overcome) while delivering a speech after being sworn-in as Delhi Chief Minister for a third term.
Along with the AAP chief, six other MLAs, including his close aide Manish Sisodia, were sworn-in on Sunday at the national capital’s historic Ramlila Maidan.
After the swearing-in ceremony, Kejriwal, in a speech, reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking his blessings for the smooth governance and progress of Delhi. Modi, in fact, was invited by Kejriwal for the ceremony but the Prime Minister was already scheduled to be in his Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi.
Kejriwal also remarked that he’d be the Chief Minister for those who voted for the BJP or Congress as well.
At the end of the speech, he started singing ‘Hum Honge Kamyab‘ with thousands of AAP supporters who attended the swearing-in ceremony, joining him in singing the song.

The AAP registered a historic win in the recently-held Delhi Assembly Election, winning 62 out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly. The BJP came a distant second, bagging the remaining eight seats, but, in the process, winning five more seats from the previous Assembly polls, in 2015.
The Congress, meanwhile, drew a blank yet again, failing to win even a single seat for the second consecutive Delhi Assembly polls.
