Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued an advisory informing citizens about the latest changes and restrictions in the routes ahead of the “Sri Krishna Janmashtami” celebrations in the city. During the festival, thousands of people visit the famous ISKCON temple to seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, which causes severe traffic congestion on the routes. To control the traffic and ensure a smooth flow, the department has made some traffic diversion arrangements. Check the traffic restrictions, diversions, and timings below.

Traffic diversion arrangements in some specific routes from 4 am in the early morning to 11 pm in the night.

• Commuters coming from MJ Market towards GPO Junction will be restricted and will be diverted to MJ Market towards Nampally.
• If you’re planning on driving from Gunfoundry or Tilak Road towards Nampally Station Road, bear in mind that your usual route will change. At the GPO Junction, you’ll be rerouted towards MJ Market instead.
• Similarly, traffic coming from BJP State office will be diverted towards MJ Market Road, Restrictions will be made on old Collectorate Office Junction.
• Traffic coming from Nampally to Koti Bank Street will be cleared to stick to regular path. Start out towards the familiar Bharath Petrol Pump, then take a casual left into the welcoming ACB Lane. Continue your trip passing the famous Yousuf & Company and the bustling Troop Bazar, until you finally find yourself at your destination: the renowned Koti Bank Street.

For those planning to visit the ISKCON Temple in Abids, parking has been thoughtfully arranged at two different locations. You can park your vehicles at the Exhibition Ground situated in Nampally, or choose the open field named Vasanth Vihar, located just behind the GPO in Abids.
