New Delhi, April 21: After the judgement of the Supreme Court in the conspiracy charges against senior Bharatiya Janta Party leaders L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharati, former BJP MP Ram Vilas Vedanti on Friday said that he was involved in the demolition of the Babri Masjid. He said the demolition of the Babri Masjid was carried out after his instructions to the karsevaks on December 6, 1992. In an interview with tv channel News 18 India, Ram Vilas Vedanti said that the case registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation is completely forged. He also ruled out the participation of senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani in the demolition and said that he is amazed over the judgement as CBI produced false evidence in front of the apex court. Ram Vilas Vedanti is one of the thirteen accused in the judgement of the Supreme Court. Calling the demolition of the Babri Masjid an attack on the secular fabric of India, a bench headed by P C Ghosh and Rohinton Fali Nariman said that the justice has been delayed in the case. The bench said, “Let the justice be done although heaven fall”. Accepting the plea of the Central Bureau of Investigation to club two different cases in the matter, the apex court directed that the hearing of the case should be done on a day-to-day basis and no delay should be allowed in the case. The case consists of two cases, one related with the Karsevaks responsible for the demolition of the Babri Masjid and another with the role played by senior Bharatiya Janta Party leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti in Rai Bareilly for instigating the karsevaks to demolish the 16th-century mosque.
