Mumbai, October 5: Pallavi Vikamsey, twenty-year-old daughter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) president Nilesh Vikamsey, was found dead on railway tracks in Mumbai on Thursday. Railway police officials said that her body was found in a mutilated condition on tracks between Parel and Currey Road station.

DCP Samadhan Pawar, spokesperson of GRP was quoted by PTI as saying, “We found body of a woman on tracks between Parel and Currey road yesterday at around 7.30 pm. Today, her relatives confirmed her as Pallavi Vikamsey.” He added, “Prima facie it appears that the girl committed suicide.”

Pallavi was pursuing law from a reputed institution. On Thursday, her family waited for many hours for her return. They were also trying to contact her. But after many failed attempts, they registered a missing complaint with MRA Marg police station.

Pallavi had gone missing when she was returning from a law firm at Fort in south Mumbai. She had gone for her internship. She was last seen boarding a local train at CSMT station on Wednesday at around 6 pm, the official said.

Pawar said her body was given to her family. He said the police have registered a case on the matter but did not find any foul play.
