New Delhi: India and China possess some of the world’s most formidable military forces. While China may look a little ahead of India in terms of numbers, India, on the other hand, has the edge in experience and reliable weaponry. In this article, we will delve into the strengths of both Indian Air Force and the Chinese Air Force.
In terms of fleet size and fighter jets, the Chinese Air Force, officially known as the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), is stronger than the Indian Air Force (IAF). However, the IAF boasts highly experienced pilots and officers. Additionally, India’s reliable platforms and strategic bases have the potential to counter China’s expectations effectively.
It is important to note that the Indian Air Force pilots have hands-on experience in high-altitude combat operations. The Indian Air Force has more airbases and weapon depots than China along the LAC. While China possesses two fifth-generation stealth fighter jets, the J-20 and J-35, they are not superior to the Indian Air Force’s Rafale jets.
China has the world’s second-largest air force, while India ranks fourth. The Chinese Air Force has a fleet of long-range strategic bombers and holds more strategic assets than the Indian Air Force, including Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft and combat drones. The Indian Air Force has a total of 2,229 aircraft, while the Chinese Air Force has a total of 3,309 aircraft.
