Indian Air Force Officer Arrested For Allegedly Providing Secret Documents to Pakistan’s ISI

New Delhi, February 9: The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested Indian Air Force Group Captain Arun Marwah on charges of allegedly providing details of secret documents to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of Officials Secrets Act. The officer has been sent to five days police custody.

The arrest comes 10 days after the officer was taken into custody by the force for alleged involvement in espionage and possible attempt to access sensitive documents.  The officer was indulging in certain “unwanted activities” through unauthorised electronic devices which is against existing orders, sources had said.

He was believed to be in touch with a woman through social media whose identity has not yet been established.

The “unwanted” activities by the officer were discovered during routine counter intelligence surveillance, sources had said, adding he attempted to posses sensitive documents.
