Hanoi, Vietnam: President Ram Nath Kovind, who is on a three-day trip to Vietnam, addressed the National Assembly House in Hanoi on Tuesday. Addressing the House, Kovind stated that India’s co-operation model offers many choices and opportunities to other nations. He said, “India offers a cooperation model that does not require its friends to make choices but rather expands choices and expands opportunities for all; that opens not one but many roads.” Chairperson of Vietnam’s National Assembly House Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân received the President Ram Nath Kovind today. Upon arriving at Vietnam, President Ram Nath Kovind laid a wreath at the Monument of National Heroes and Martyrs located in Hanoi. Several children participated in the welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace to honour President Ram Nath Kovind during his arrival.

Following this, President Ram Nath Kovind along with Vietnam President Nguyen Phu Trong attended the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoUs) in the field of communications and between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU), stated news agency ANI.

The President, on Sunday, interacted with leaders of Da Nang People’s Committee led by Truong Quang Nghia, Party Secretary of Da Nang. During the second day, he visited the Museum of Cham sculpture in the city of Da Nang along with First lady Savita Kovind. President Kovind also addressed the Vietnam-India Business Forum and the Indian diaspora organised as part of his state visit to the country.
